FUNERAL CHAMBER PREPARATION AND CREMATION, IN ROME AND PROVINCE

Besides the various services that Onoranze Funebri La San Luca offers in Rome and in its province you can find a free shuttle service for the visit of the deceased of Prima Porta.

Known as the Flaminio Cemetery, it has been consecrated in 1941 and it is considered a masterpiece of the contemporary cemetery architecture.

It covers about 140 hectares and is the biggest Italian cemetery, crossed by about 40 kilometres of internal roads.

In respect of the individual cults there are sectors dedicated to different religious denominations (Catholic, Evangelical, Jewish and Islamic) with their respective churches and temples: the Catholic Church dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel, the Israeli Temple and the Polish Chapel, erected by Polish people in Italy and consecrated by Pope John Paul II in 1991, in the All Saints’ Day. Nearby of the crematory area, there is the Giardino dei Ricordi: 3 hectares of tree-lined hill with meadows and plants, dedicated to the rite of the ashes dispersion of the loved ones.

The free coach service for visiting the deceased of Prima Porta takes place every first Wednesday of the month from Via Roberto Malatesta, in front of the Church of San Luca.
